Another week, another Thrifty Thursday! This means I got the power to mark any fabric down to 30% off for today, and I chose (with the help of my girl) to show off this fabulous Metallic Dot ITY.
What’s ITY?
ITY stands for interlock twist yarn. According to Fabric Mart, "It is a method of putting a twist in the yarn resulting in a more natural elasticity and a soft feel inside & out. ITY knits are easy to sew with and quite popular for tops, dresses, skirts and flowy pants. They come in a wide array of prints and solids. It's great for traveling too because it does not wrinkle."
Did you hear that? Does not wrinkle. No ironing required!!
This Metallic Dot ITY has such an amazing drape. It's also got a nice shimmer and the fabric itself has an almost dressy feel. Ever since I made myself a Tulip dress when this fabric released, I knew my daughter needed something snazzy in her own wardrobe out of it. I chose a Love Notions pattern to sew up, which is a great pattern company with awesome designs for the whole family. My personal favorite is actually the Laundry Day Tee (also free).
I loved creating my girl a swing skirt using the Skater Skirt from Love Notions.
